About the HIP Section

The HIP (HeyAnon Improvement Proposal) Section is the final step in formalizing and voting on proposals that shape the future of the HeyAnon DAO. HIPs are mature, actionable plans derived from community-supported RFCs.

Purpose:

  • Facilitate transparent decision-making through structured voting.
  • Ensure proposals align with HeyAnon’s mission and community consensus.
  • Formalize governance actions, from protocol upgrades to policy changes.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Format: HIPs provide detailed plans, including objectives, technical requirements, and timelines.
  • Snapshot Voting: Each HIP undergoes a Snapshot Vote to ensure fair, token-weighted decision-making.
  • Implementation Roadmap: Accepted HIPs guide the execution of improvements by core contributors.

Steps to Submit a HIP:

  1. Transition from RFC: Ensure the RFC has undergone thorough community discussion and refinement.
  2. Use the HIP Template: Provide a clear summary, timeline, and voting requirements.
  3. Engage in Pre-Vote Discussions: Allow at least 2 days for community feedback before the vote.
  4. Initiate Snapshot Vote: Link the proposal to its Snapshot voting options.

HIP Template:

  • Title: HIP #X Proposal for…
  • Introduction: Brief introduction to the proposal.
  • Proposal Overview: Summarize the proposal’s goals.
  • Timeline: Outline actionable steps and deadlines.
  • HeyAnon DAO Role and Voting: Specify voting requirements and quorum.
  • Voting Outcome: Clarify the next steps post-vote.

HIPs that pass the voting process are archived in the “Voted Proposals” section and implemented by the HeyAnon core team, propelling the DAO toward its collective goals.
